Geraldine Gross, nee Purcell, 76, of Belleville, IL, born Sunday, June 2, 1946, in East St. Louis, IL, passed away Tuesday, January 24, 2023 at her residence in Belleville, IL.
Jerry enjoyed life, loved Elvis and had such a beautiful soul. She will be missed by her family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her:
- Husband, Darrell Ray Gross
- Son, Matthew Joseph Gross
- Parents, Malcolm William Sr. and Mavis, nee Melvin, Albrecht
- Brother, Malcom W. “Joe” Gross Jr.
Surviving are her:
- Son, Darren (Theresa) Gross of Belleville, IL
- Sister, Denise Purcell of Collinsville, IL
- Half brothers and sisters:

- Maryann (Mike) McKernan

To my dearest, sweet sister. We were two peas in a pod and when we were together we were like Lucy and Ethel. (Remember our trips to Florida?). Life won’t be the same without your laughter, hugs and devotion. I’m looking forward to visiting with you at our hummy feeder this Spring. I love you so much!
