Gary L. Meyer Sr.

Gary L. Meyer, Sr., 82, of Belleville, IL, born Thursday, October 13, 1938, in Okawville, IL, passed away Friday, August 13, 2021, at Stearns Nursing and Rehab Center in Granite City, IL.

Gary was a retired International Representative for the Boilermakers. He was a member of Westview Baptist Church, Swansea IL, Belleville/Swansea Moose Lodge #1221, Belleville Elks #664, Belleville Automobile Collectors Club (past president), former Southside Improvement Association, Belleville Post R (administrator), Travelers Protective Association “TPA,” Metro-East Show Cars, and the Board of Directors for Belleville Labor and Industrial Museum.

He was preceded in death by his:

• Wife, Carlene Kay, nee Ford, Meyer
• Parents, Edwin and Ellen, nee Barkau, Meyer

Surviving are his:

• Son, Gary L. (Cynthia) Meyer, II, of Belleville, IL

Visitation: Visitation from 4:00 pm – 8:00 pm, Monday, August 16, 2021, at Kurrus Funeral Home in Belleville, Illinois.

Funeral: Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 am, Tuesday, August 17, 2021, at Kurrus Funeral Home, with Rev. Vance Vyers officiating. Interment will follow at Zion Cemetery, Addieville, IL.
