Frances “Fay” Christine MacLennan, 71, of Swansea, IL, born Monday, January 21, 1952, in Drogheda, Ireland, passed away Tuesday, October 3, 2023 at her residence in Swansea, IL.
Fay was a Special Ed Teacher for District 118 Elementary School in Belleville, IL.
She was preceded in death by her:
- Parents, Thomas Francis and Mary Elizabeth, nee Cairns, MacLennan
Surviving are her:
- Husband, Thomas “Randy” Randall Alvey of Swansea, IL
- Daughter, Stephanie Alvey of Phoenix, AZ
- Son, Graham (Nicole) Alvey of Oak Park, IL
- Brothers:
- Trevor MacLennan of Nashville, TN
- Edwin MacLennan of Denver, CO
- Grandchildren:
- Charlotte Alvey
- Colin Alvey
- Sister-in-law, Robin Buesking of St. Louis, MO
- 5 nieces and nephews
Memorials: Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society or Shriner’s Children of St. Louis.
Funeral: Private family services.

So sorry for your loss Randy and family..I knew Fay from Dist. 118 where I also taught in Sp. Education and Elementary. I loved her smile and dedication to her students. Please hold all your memories close to your hearts.
