Vernon, I’m so sorry for your loss. Think of the precious memories the two of you made together. I’m Sheridan Attig, the son of the minister of the Nazarene church at the bottom of the hill in French Village (mid 60’s and early 70’s) and went to school with Ron and Cathy. I’ll remember you in prayer during this time.

Bonnie Dennis was an amazing woman–she was a wonderful friend to my (then) mother-in-law Lois Haley and a colorful neighbor–all those families had such good times and memorable celebrations together on that hilltop overlooking the bluffs. Bonnie was a lifesaving babysitter for us when Gina was little, always regaling us with funny stories of their time together. Bonnie seemed to see the good and the humorous in everything–you can’t picture her without that unique grin–and she taught us all about the gift of family, pets and friendship. She is truly one of the Greatest Generation and a shining example of what makes our country great.

I remember Mrs. Dennis, the Milk Lady, while we attended Bluff View School.. Of course we couldn’t call her Bonnie in the day!! Ronnie and I were in the same grade.. May she rest in peace after having gone through the loss of both of her children.
