I will always cherish my memories of you Grandpa. Every single memory of you is happy and wonderful. You have been such a blessing in my life and the lives of all those that have ever met you. You loved deeply, and made every one feel welcomed, and always made people laugh. You were a hard and honest worker, a wonderful husband to Grandma, a great Dad, and literally the best Grandpa in the world. I can only hope that I can make you proud in my life and be a little more like you.

It would be a much better world to live in if it had more Elvis Beckners in it !!

what do you say about greatest dad in the world?as a little girl,up lifted me up on your feet, i remember you taking us to Bellevue park,and putting us on the merry-go-round,wow you you could really run !i remember every christmas you and mom would tell us to go to the car to go look at Christmas lights, you were always so slow coming to the car,Mom would say boy Dad is slow i bet he went to bathroom, i never knew for years,you were putting gifts under the tree! I remember staying up late, washing dishes,and i would set the table for your breakfast,cup and saucer tea bag and sugar, there would always be a tip waiting when i got up. I remember you always telling me to straiten up and fly right, i remember sitting up real sraight and flapping my arms like i was flying,I think you wanted t be firm ,but you cracked up!so many precious memories,I remember after Mom died, we took you on a cruise boat in Louisville KY. WE WERE DRIVING ALONG AND YOU SAID I WISH GOOSE COULD OF BEEN HERE(GOOSE WAS THE NICKNAMES MY DAD GAVE HER) I LOOKED UP THE THE CAR IN FRONT OF US HAD A LICENSE PLATE IN FRONT OF SAID GOOSE!The last few years were really rough, dizziness,ans arthritis,you wanted to go to heaven. i told you your cabin isnt ready yet,that last fall at home wasnt good! this horrible covid thing left you in a horrible nursing home to recover.i called everyday to check on you or come look in window, boy that was rough, but i thought is was temporary. I am so sorry i couldnt find a better place, a called many homes,trying to get a better place, finally on tuesday the 9th we decided we would bring you home, i spent all morning trying to line up the help ,i was told by several homes if you went home for a moth ,they would probably take you in for rehab, well i called the center at 8;17 and was told you had a 99.2 temperature,they wanted to put you in the covid hole, i said NO! I TRANSFERRED YOU TO HOSPITAL THEY SAID YOU HAD PNEUMOMIA, WOW ,that was horrible news, they sent you back to covid hole ,this time you tested positive! , then you got weaker and weaker,no fever for several says , then Monday morning the dreaded phone call your oxygen droppedand you were so weak , sent you back to hospital,the family ,gathered around the hopital,we did a zoom meeting and told you how much we loved you,hospice got there and told us you werent going to make it. they said we couldnt come in ,but GOD MADE A WAY,HOSPICE SAID WE COULD SO WAMPER AND ME HEADED IN,we had to dress like astronauts , but it was worth it seeing you! you grabbed for our hands ,you knew we were there! the next 8 hours were so rough but having my baby brother with me helped me make it.At 11:24 the nurse came to us and said come now, we made it to see you take your last breaths ! It was 35 minutes till your anniversary date with mom in heaven! your 69 th! i miss you already the phone calls every morning and the calls at night to check on you,but i know heaven is a better place. Debbie, thank you so much for sharing your memories with us. I’ve heard all the stories from my mom about how amazing growing up in the hollow was and that Elvis was her favorite Uncle giving everyone one nicknames along the way. I always tried to stop by and visit Elvis anytime I was back home and was looking forward to seeing him again this year before all this craziness took place. I thought I might see him after my Grandmas funeral but sadly it’ll have to wait for Heaven and that’s fine with me as he’s not suffering and safe with you Mom and all those who went before him. The family’s in our prayers and we wish you all well.

Keith and all the Beckner Family. You have my sympathies for the loss of Elvis. I spent many years working with him repairing radiators at the shop. He was a very gentle person, taught me a lot and was a pleasure to work with. I will always remember his “man oh man” phrase whenever I told him a story. I am sure he will be missed, but never forgotten. Please take care.

Debbie and all the family, I share in your sorrow. Elvis was one of the most humble and gentle of all God’s human creations. He was always looking heavenward for his real home, yet he loved his precious family to the uttermost. Any of us who knew him loved him and enjoyed his wit and wisdom. Take comfort that he is free of pain and suffering and that he is rejoicing with those who have been waiting for him in heaven.
