Edward Paul Lopinot, 85, of Belleville, IL, born January 14, 1937 in East St. Louis, Illinois, died Saturday, November 19, 2022 in Belleville, IL. Edward was a retired accountant at Duke Manufacturing in St. Louis, MO. Edward was a member of St. Henry’s parish in Belleville, IL. Edward had a love of reading, playing Sudoku, complaining about the Cardinals, and making people laugh.
He was preceded in death by his:
- Parents, Edward A. Lopinot and Anna Mae Lopinot (nee Kisselbach).

- Wife of 59 years, Frances L. Lopinot (nee Merrills)
- Son, Kenneth Lopinot
- Daughters:

- Ginger ( Dr. Matthew) Donaldson
- Grandchildren:

- Benjamin Donaldson
- Lillian Donaldson
- Sister, Llana (Dennis) Korte
- Many nieces and a nephew

Ed was my decade older cousin. I remember Cardinal talk with him at our Lopinot Cousins reunions. He had a trove of memories about those players & teams before Cardinal baseball replaced cartoons & Saturday morning Westerns as my entertainment interests. In fact, he got me started on my baseball card collection – “bequeathing” me a load of cards from his. . . . . Thanks, Eddie. Still have those cards.
