Doyle William “Doc” Clubb

Kathy and family,
I am so deeply sorry for your loss. Doc was a big man with a big heart and I will forever treasure all the teasing he gave my husband about how to handle me as a wife!!!
It was an honor to know him and to work with him on behalf of the Children’s Dyslexia Center. I know he loved and cherished those kids and families as much as anyone could. His work and investment there, has changed the trajectory of the lives of many children as they moved from struggling and hating to read to being successful and seeing new possibilities for the direction of their lives which has included going on to college and a wide array of career options opened up to them because they could read. Doc was a contributor to those lives is such a big way and the gratitude from the parents was priceless…I tried to express that to board members as often as possible.
May you and your family find comfort in the knowledge of Jesus Christ and the legacy Doc has left of having touched so many lives here on earth. My prayers are with you all.

Kathy and family, my condolences for you loss. Doc was truely one of a kind and will be missed by all who knew him. He always had a big smile and a warm greeting for me, and seeing him go through as Potentate twice was a real treat. I know he loved his family above all else, and I am proud to have known him…

We knew it was quite a drive but we so much enjoyed seeing you folks there. That is just one of many things we will miss not having him but his

Doc, you exemplify what a Shriner is and will be missed by so many! Good by my friend and we’ll meet again someday in the “house not made with hands, eternal in the heavens”. …..R.I.P. brother!!!!

Doc will be remembered as a kind and honest man. May the family be sustained by the lasting legacy of this genuine gentleman. Praying for peace and comfort for all who mourn Doc’s loss.

I’ll always remember how much Uncle Doc and Uncle Stan would make me laugh when we all got together. He will be truly missed.

Villa Hills has lost a wonderful man who bought multiple properties fixed them up & only rented to those folks he knew would keep them looking nice. He helped neighbors in various ways with his large equipment. He could be found on Friday nights at the Shriners fish fry. Doc didn’t know a stranger & loved to talk with folks. He was “one of a kind!” He will be missed & remembered by many residents of Villa Hills! Make a donation if you are able to keep Doc’s memory alive.

Kathy and family: Our sincere sympathy on your loss. We enjoyed having Doc and you attend our local Shrine meetings and working with him at the DuQuoin Circuses. He will truly be missed.

To the Clubb Family
Those that have known Doc for a long time have many memories and stories to tell. I remember going back to his early years in the Directors Staff when he was a up and comer. He got the Presidents award in 1990 for his dedication and service to the unit. He went on to achieve greatness within the Masonic Family. He will always be remembered as one of the Great members of our Fraternity. He gave so much and asked for very little in return. Many of us have stories on how we did not always agree with his position on things but we still loved him anyway. Kathy we can only say so much as to how he affected all of those he came into contact with. I hope you know that you will always be his representative to all of us and I pray that you continue to bring your presence to the social activities we always saw to two of you at. It is my hope that you will carry on and be the frequent winner of the drawings and prizes that Doc would always win and then he would donate them back for the sake of charity. He was a very special man and family member.

Doc was a great friend and fellow Shriner with my dad Floyd. I am sure they are setting up for the Shrine Circus in heaven together.

Our thoughts are with all of Doc’s loved ones. He was a wonderful man who put a smile on our faces every time we talked to him. I will miss hearing him laugh when calling him to check on the “elderly” during the heat of the summer. He always gave great advise and had every contact a person could imagine. He will be greatly missed.

I knew Doc for a very long time. He was a fine man, always with a smile and ready to help anyone. My most sincerest condolences to Kathy and the family.

We are so sorry for your loss. Mike and I just found out today. May be rest in peace!!
