Doyle D. Whitten, Sr., 77, of O’Fallon, IL, born Tuesday, November 16, 1943, in St. Louis, MO, died Thursday, October 14, 2021; at Cedar Ridge Healthcare in Lebanon, IL.

Doyle was a truck driver. He was a member of Swansea Moose. He served in the US Navy during the Vietnam War.

Memorials: Memorials may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project.

Services: Visitation from 4:00 – 6:00 pm Monday, October 25, 2021 at First Baptist Church, 10401 Lincoln Trail, Fairview Heights, IL 62208 with a Memorial Service at 6:00 pm. with Pastor Jim Kerr officiating.

Burial Services: Gathering will be from 9:30 am – 10:45 am at Kurrus Funeral Home in Belleville, IL. on Tuesday, October 26, 2021 with a funeral procession leaving at 10:45 am from Kurrus Funeral Home for a 11:30 am interment at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery, St. Louis, MO with Honors.

Doyle, my sweetie you are missed very much. You will never be forgotten in my heart, when God made you he threw the mold away. Your children, grandkids, Michelle and Jay thought a lot of you. Your not in pain now, hope your dancing in the sky country no doubt with Josh and Nick we will all be there sometime to rejoice with you.

Cathy & Family, I was so saddened to hear Doyle had passed. I only met him a couple of times & he was very nice. I will keep you in my prayers & sending lots of hugs. I love you my sweet cousin.
