Devyn A. Trampe, 32, of St. Jacob, IL, born Thursday, June 20, 1991, in Maryville, IL, passed away Friday, September 29, 2023 at Mercy Hospital St. Louis in Saint Louis, MO.
Devyn was a retired Military Police Officer for the US Army. He was a member of Bethel Baptist Church in Troy IL, VFW Post #976, Troy, IL, Men’s Softball League, O’Fallon, IL and a United States Army veteran.
He was preceded in death by his:

- Wife: Amanda, nee Andersen, Trampe of St. Jacob, IL
- Son: Jonathan Coffer of St. Jacob, IL
- Daughter: Lillie Trampe of St. Jacob, IL
- Parents: David A. and Kelly, nee Simnitt-Mertz, Trampe of Troy, IL

- Justin (Amanda) Altenberger of Mulberry Grove, IL
- Drake (Grace) Trampe of Troy, IL
- Maternal grandmother: Rebecca Mertz of Troy, IL
- Bonus sister: Grace Bieser
- Mother-in-law: Phyllis Andersen of Swansea, IL
- Nieces and nephews: Tristen, Hunter, Kolten, Gunner, and Skylee
- Pet companion: Bo
Memorials: Memorials may be made to the Kids Education Fund, check payable to Amanda Trampe.
Visitation: Friends and family may gather from 9:00 am to 11:00 am on Saturday October 7, 2023 at the Bethel Baptist Church 7775 Collinsville Road, Troy, IL 62294.
Services: A Celebration of Life will be held at a 11:00 am, Saturday, October 7, 2023 at the Bethel Baptist Church, Troy, IL. Private interment at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery in St. Louis, MO.

I am so sorry for the loss to the family. He was such a strong man and fought insurmountable odds in his battle to recovery. You are all in my thoughts, and sending love to everyone.

My heart breaks for you all. Devyn fought hard to stay here with his family. The Lord took Devyn home because it was time. No more pain and now at peace in Jesus Arms. This is not the end. You all will see Devyn again with Jesus in heaven. My prayers are with you all always. I feel your pain because I to have lost family members and I do believe in my heart as Devyn as family. My heart hurts for all of you. It’s not the healing prayed for but he is healed. The second he took his last breath here, he was shouting hallelujah there and he wouldn’t come back now if he could.

It is with a very heavy heart that I think of you all. Devyn tried so hard to stay with his loving family. Your devotion and caring was never ending and a tribute to your faith,strength,and togetherness. He will remain in our hearts forever, and for that we are blessed and thankful. May he rest in peace. I miss Devyn he was my best friend and my dads as well. we lived right next to each other and he helped me with so many things. he will stay with us forever in our hearts.
