Debi McConnell

Debi McConnell, nee Yung, 65, of Belleville, IL, born Sunday, November 13, 1960, in Belleville, IL, passed away Wednesday, September 30, 2026 at St. Elizabeth’s Hospital in O’Fallon, IL.

Debi graduated from Lincoln Community High School and went on to receive her bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education from Illinois State University. She would later work as the bookkeeper for Krupp Florist, helping to grow the family business. Work did not define Debi; what she truly loved was spending time with her family, especially her children and grandchildren. She also loved to read, do puzzles, crochet, and take vacations.

She was preceded in death by her:

Memorials: Memorials may be made to the Belleville Area Humane Society or St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.

Services: A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, November 13, 2026 at 5PM at Bethany Church, 1608 Hill Top Rd. Columbia, IL.
