David Lee Johnson, 64, of Highland, IL, born Sunday, July 5, 1959, in Belleville, IL, passed away Wednesday, March 6, 2024 at his residence in Highland, IL.
David worked as an avionics installer. He was a Veteran who served in the U. S. Navy during the Cold War.
He was preceded in death by his:

- John (Adrienne) Johnson of Mount Vernon, IL

- Carolyn (Tom) Plogue of Greenville, IL
- Granddaughter:
- Christiana Elise Steenstra (Studying in Holland)
- Mother-in-Law:
- Evelyn Edmiston of Smithton, IL
- Several Precious nieces and nephews
Memorials: Memorials may be made to the American Liver Foundation or Cornea Research Foundation.
Funeral: A Funeral Procession will leave Kurrus Funeral Home in Belleville, IL at 12:15pm, on Thursday, March 14, 2024 for a 1:00 pm Graveside Service with Honors at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery in St. Louis, MO.
Celebration of Life immediately following at the Collinsville VFW, 1234 Vandalia Street, Collinsville, IL 62234.
