Corianne R. Blair

Corianne R. Blair, nee Thompson, 62, of Belleville, IL, born Friday, December 9, 1960, in Elgin, IL, passed away Wednesday, August 23, 2023 at Memorial Hospital in Belleville, IL.

Corianne was a one in a million kind of person. She was sweet, loving and caring and the best mother anyone could hope to ask for. Anyone that met her fell in love with her personality. She was an open, free spirit who was kind and welcoming to everyone she met. She treated her kid’s friends as if they were her own children. But she also was a strong protective mama bear that would protect her cubs at all costs. She would drop what she was doing in a heartbeat to help someone that needed her. She was goofy and quirky and loved to laugh. Her laugh and smile were so contagious. Her personality was just as colorful as the way she dressed. She was always thinking of others and always had little gifts she’d picked up especially for a person just as a way of saying “I was thinking about you.” She was very specific in what she wanted, and that was “no casket, no funeral home, and organ donation for anything possible” which shows that even with her passing, she was thinking of others.

Some of the things she loved most were her cats, her children and her close friends. Her cats were her babies and they are lost without her as well. She loved working outdoors gardening, and she loved flowers. There were always fresh flowers around the house. Corianne worked as a lawn and garden specialist for Lowes Retail Company in Fairview Heights, IL. She was strong-willed, staying sober for over 20 years.

Corianne was a proud Veteran in the United States Army.
