Charles F. Alderson, 77, of Belleville, IL, born Wednesday, September 18, 1946, in East St. Louis, IL, passed away Tuesday, December 12, 2023 at his home in Belleville, IL.
Charles was a self-employed insurance broker. He was a member of St. Augustine of Canterbury, Belleville IL.
He was preceded in death by his:
- Parents: Charles and Agnes, nee Chesnik, Alderson
- Two sisters:
- Bonnie Tassi
- Arlene Kellogg
Surviving are his:
- Children:
- Charles Kevin Alderson of Smithton, IL
- Kimberly Jo (John) Wright of Monclair, VA
- Joel E (Cherie) Alderson of Saint Louis, MO
- Erin Catherine Alderson of Belleville, IL
- Sister: Charlene (Bob) Carson of St. Charles, MO
- Two granddaughters:
- Morghyn Alderson
- Lauren Wright
- Dear nieces and nephews
Memorials: Memorials may be made to the St. Jude’s Childrens Research Hospital or St. Augustine of Canterbury.
Visitation: Visitation from 9:00 am – 11:00 am, Tuesday, December 19, 2023 at St. Augustine of Canterbury in Belleville, IL.
Funeral: Memorial Mass will be held at 11:00 a.m at St. Augustine of Canterbury, with Msgr. Bill McGee officiating. Interment will follow at St. Peter & Paul Catholic Cemetery in Collinsville, IL.

So sorry for your loss. I remember your father always having a smile on his face and a kind word to say. My mother, dad and I always enjoyed our conersations with him.

I’m so sorry on the loss of your dad. I remember him coming into my old work, First Bank. Always in a good mood. Telling jokes/stories. I always enjoyed talking to him.

He will be truly missed.
I remember every Birthday I would take a cupcake and a card and sing Happy Birthday 🎂 we would get a kick out of it.
We would help him when he needed us to.
