Carole Jean Freeman, nee Spiller, 81, of Belleville, IL, born Sunday, September 7, 1941, in Alton, IL, passed away Monday, July 24, 2023 at St. Paul’s Home in Belleville, IL.
Carole graduated from East Alton Woodriver Community High School class of 1959. Carole worked as a salesperson for JC Penney’s department store. In her later years she enjoyed walking, painting and spending time with her pets.
She was preceded in death by her:

- Former husband, Eddie Freeman of Fairview Heights, IL
- 7 great grandchildren
She will be lovingly remembered by all her family and friends.

I’m crushed to hear of her passing, may she find heavenly peace. After so many years, I will miss our FB post to each other…loved her sense of humor and love of animals. I pray for her loved ones left behind, she sure adored her family.

Larry and I were so saddened to hear of Carole’s passing.
We shared, over the years lots of fun times with her and Eddie. Great memories for us to remember.

I know I am late; I hadn’t realized she passed. I worked with her for several years. I am so sorry to hear this. She was just an absolute spitfire. She is missed.
