Anna Lizzetta “Liz” Croissant, nee Press, 69, of Smithton, IL, born Friday, August 8, 1952, in Belleville, IL, passed away Friday, January 21, 2022 at Memorial Hospital in Belleville, IL.
Liz was a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution, VA wife’s and the BTHS West class of 1970.
She was preceded in death by her:
- Parents: Roland and Pluma, nee Wilkin, Press
- Sister: Patricia Lickfield
Surviving are her:
- Husband: Victor H. Croissant of Smithton, IL
- Son: Lance Croissant of Smithton, IL
- Daughter: Andrea (James Jr.) Shea of Troy, MO
- Grandchildren
- Victoria Croissant
- Isabella Croissant
- Alexandria Shea
- Charlotte Shea
- Nephew: Jason Lickfield
- Great nephews: Bryce and Sean
- Great nieces: Courtney and Kayl
Memorials: Memorials may be made to the Shriner’s Children.
Memorial Gathering: Visitation will be held from 9:00 – 11:00 am on Saturday, January 29, 2022 at Kurrus Funeral Home.

God only takes the best. Liz has always been of my favorite people. She has been there for me growing up, getting my drivers license, my wedding, my first house, lose of a pregnancy. Big hugs to Vic, Lance, Andrea, and family. She was the rock for everyone. Please let me know if there is anything at all that could help your family!!

I am so devastated by the news of Liz’s passing. She will truly be missed in this world. We had a lot of good times,the Van Club,and all the camping trips & canoeing trips and just watching movies at Vic & Liz’s house. and her cooking was the top of the line,her passion for making good things to eat for her family & friends.And all the 4th of July’s we spent out at her farmland,with a huge turnout. a big bonfire,and lots of fireworks for many years.Watching my kids grow up, and hers.all together. Wonderful,beautiful memories. I am glad i have these memories, of a good person as Liz was. Never to be forgotten. MAY GOD hold her now,and may she be at painless peace. Til we meet again. MY FRIEND.
