I moved from Denver to Columbia Missouri in the late 1980s and went looking for ways to connect in a new obedience community. I first met Ann at an obedience match at Grant’s Shelter. I have such a clear memory of that meeting – Ann was so kind, and gracious and welcoming.

Grateful to have had her as friend. Her life and memory are a blessing and an inspiration. Sincerest sympathies to all who knew and loved her best.

Ann was one of the unsung great Irish Setter ladies and one of my very favorite friends. She and Fancy set a very high standard for multi-talented Irish and she allowed me to show Fancy in Conformation while she showed Fancy in Obedience—- at the same show. Best wishes Charlie.

I’m shocked and saddened to learn of Ann’s passing. Although we haven’t seen each other for quite some time, we were good friends in high school. I have many great memories of times spent together. She was such a beautiful girl and lady. My sympathy to Charlie and Scott.

Ann and I attended Douglas School together. Our birthdays were one day apart which as a child I thought was neat. Consequently every year on my birthday I think about Ann. My memories of Ann are that she was a kind and sweet classmate. Although I haven’t seen or spoken to her in decades I will miss her. My thoughts and sympathies are with you Charlie.

I, too, am saddened to hear of Ann’s passing. We were good friends in high school. Ann and Charlie were one of the handsomest couples in school and long afterward. I remember when Charlie (and Ann) were stationed in Germany (1968?), and my German friend Manfred and I visited them. Later on Ann and Charlie “honeymooned” at Manfred’s guest house in the Black Forest. Such great memories. My deepest sympathy and prayers to Charlie, Scott, and families.

Annie and I were best friends in college.and spent many fun nights at her house laughing and talking about our futures. I’ll always remember our fun trips to SIUE and stopping in Caseyville for sodas on our way home. She was my Maid of Honor at our wedding. I’m at a loss for words over her death and regret not being able to continue our friendship as adults. Her one true love was always Charlie. Prayers for Charlie, Scott and his wife.
