E. Karleen Cornett, nee Summers, 84, of Swansea, Illinois, born Tuesday, December 20, 1927, in Elgin, TN, died Friday, August 24, 2012 at The Fountains of Shiloh in Shiloh, Illinois.

She was preceded in death by her:

  • Parents: James C. and Lottie nee Young Summers
  • Sister: Beulah Young

Visitation:  Friends may call from 4:00 pm - 8:00 pm Monday, August 27, 2012 at Kurrus Funeral Home in Belleville, Illinois.

Funeral:  Funeral services will be held at 10:30 am Tuesday, August 28, 2012 at Kurrus Funeral Home, with Pastor Jack Kurrelmeyer officiating.  Interment will follow at Valhalla Gardens of Memory,Belleville, Illinois.

    I am sister in law to Cor cornett,I will never forget the time Karleen took me and my kids, back to MO. from Danville I loved that woman so much she was like a sister to me.She will be missed very much. My prayers and thoughts go out to her and her family. God Bless you all.

    Use to live acroos the street form her and her parents. What a sweet lady. God has another angel with him now. Watching over us all. Her family is in my thoughts and prayers at this time. I wish I could be there to see you all and give hugs, hopfully my mother Kay will be there for me also. Just thinking about her brings back so many memories. I am so sorry for your loss.
