David Edward Bumpus



David Edward Bumpus, 65, of Belleville, Illinois, born Thursday, September 19, 1946, in Mount Vernon, IL, died Tuesday, January 3, 2012 at St. Anthony's Medical Center in Saint Louis, Missouri.

David was a United States Navy Vietnam War veteran and worked as a mess management supervisor for the Navy.

He was preceded in death by his:

Surviving are his:

Memorials: Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association

Funeral:  Graveside funeral services with honors will be held at 10:30 am Friday, January 6, 2012 at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery, with  Rev. Jerold Darnell officiating.  Interment will follow there at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery, St. Louis, Missouri.

    Lloyd and Kathleen, my deep condolences to you. I wish I could have known David for a longer period whan he was a child, and especially as an adult. I'm sure you have many reasons to be proud of him, including his military service. My prayers are with you.
