Ira E. "Gene" Pollock

Ira E. "Gene" Pollock, 88, of O'Fallon, IL, born Saturday, February 4, 1922, in Hedge City, MO, died Saturday, October 9, 2010 at Rosewood Care Center in Edwardsville, IL.

Mr. Pollock worked as a Radio Engineer for KSTL for 25 years and other radio stations including Radio Information Service at Our lady of the Snows. He was a member of St. Clair and Madison County Genealogical Societies, CBI organization and IBEW local #4 for 60 years. He was a WWII Army Air Corp veteran, where he was awarded the Air Medal, Good Conduct Medal, WWII Victory Ribbon, American Defense Ribbon, American Theatre Ribbon and the China War Memorial Medal given by the Republic of China.

He was preceded in death by his:

  • Brother: John Pollock
  • Sister: Gladys Thayer
