Carol Lawrence

Carol Lawrence, nee Cooper, 74, of Belleville, IL, born Sunday, February 28, 1937, in McDonald, Pennsylvania, died Friday, April 29, 2011 at Memorial Hospital in Belleville with all her family by her side.

Mrs. Lawrence was retired as an Office Manager for Vandiver Agency.where she worked for 28 years. She was a member of First United Presbyterian, Presbyterian Women, Queen City Chapter #697 O.E.S.. Carol enjoyed her annual trip to Myrtle beach and spending time with her children and grandchildren. She enjoyed cooking which her family will dearly miss.

She was preceded in death by her: 

  • Parents: Joseph A. and Dorothy, nee Carl Cooper, Sr.
  • Son: David A. Lawrence

Surviving are her:

  • Husband John "Jack" Lawrence to whom she was married to for 56 years
  • Daughter: Mary Jane (Terry) Dashner of Red Bud, IL
  • Son: Dean (Diane) Lawrence of Millstadt, IL

    • Neil (Kerry) Cooper of Hickory, PA

Memorials: Memorials may be made to the First United Presbyterian Church Building Fund. 

Visitation: Friends may call from 2-6 P.M., Sunday, May 1, 2011 at the Kurrus Funeral Home, Belleville, IL and from 10-11 A.M. Monday, May 2, 2011 at the First United Presbyterian Church Belleville,IL. 

Funeral: Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, May 2, 2011 at First United Presbyterian Church, with Rev. Alex Hendrickson officiating. Interment will follow at Valhalla Cemetery.
