Georgeen (Jean) B. Buechler

 

 

 

Georgeen (Jean) B.  Buechler, nee Horn, 78, of Belleville, Illinois, born Wednesday, December 20, 1933, in Belleville, IL, was taken to her eternal home on Tuesday, October 30, 2012 after a long battle with cancer.  

 

She was preceded in death by her:

Georgeen retired after 33 years of Civilian Service at Scott Air Force Base.  She will be remembered for her love for her family and her precious yorkies.  A special thank you to Hospice of Southern Illinois and especially nurse Jacque Gibson for her loving and tender service.  Georgeen was a long time member and volunteer worker at St. Matthews UMC and other organizations. 

Memorials: Contributions would be welcome in lieu of flowers for Southern Illinois Hospice and St. Matthews UMC in Belleville, IL

Visitation:  Friends may call from 4:00 pm - 8:00 pm Thursday, November 1, 2012 at Kurrus Funeral Home in Belleville, Illinois and from 9:00 am - 10:00 am Friday, November 2, 2012 at Saint Matthew United Methodist Church, Belleville, IL.

Funeral:  Funeral services will be held at 10:00 am Friday, November 2, 2012 at Saint Matthew United Methodist Church, with Rev. Larry Patton and Rev. Jim Slone officiating,  Interment will follow at Walnut Hill Cemetery, Belleville, Illinois.
