Leonard V. Hannah
Leonard V. Hannah, 91, of Fairview Hgts., IL, born Friday, January 3, 1919, in Mexico, MO, died Friday, October 22, 2010 at Memorial Hospital in Belleville.
Mr. Hannah was a Carpenter and Maintenance Supervisor for Hunter Packing Company and John Morrell Corporation for 50 years. He enjoyed his job and working with the people in the maintenance shop.
He was a member of Cornerstone Christian Church in Shiloh and a member of the Fairview Heights VFW Post 8677.
He entered the Army in October 1941 and served in the Pacific Theatre During WWII as a member of the 529 Signal Operations Company. He was discharged in December 1945 as a Master Sargeant.
For many years Leonard served as a manager and coach in the Fairview Heights Khoury League and American Legion baseball programs.
Leonard had a talent for building things and he used that talent to help family and friends.
He was preceded in death by:

- Wife of 62 years: Gerry nee Childers Hannah of Fairview Hgts., IL whom he married on July 24, 1948

Funeral: Funeral services will be held at 10:30am Tuesday October 26, 2010 at Kurrus Funeral Home, with Rick Hodshire officiating. Interment will follow at Lake View Memorial Gardens, Fairview Heights, IL.
