Elva L. Auman

Elva L. Auman, nee Engel, 91, of Belleville, IL, born Saturday, December 13, 1919, in Belleville, Illinois, died Saturday, January 1, 2011 at her residence.

Mrs. Auman worked for many years at Katz's Clothing Store in Belleville, IL. She was a member of Women of the Moose, AARP, Belleville Senoir Citizens, Friendship Club.With her many friends she enjoyed senior dances around Belleville for over 30 years. She was a remarkable lady whom never seemed to age.

She was preceded in death by her:

• Parents: Fred G. and Leona nee Neumayer Engel
• Sister: Maxine Engel

Visitation: Friends may call from 10-11:00 am Saturday, January 8, 2011 at the Kurrus Funeral Home, Belleville, IL.

Funeral: Memorial services will be held at 11:00 am Saturday, January 8, 2011 at Kurrus Funeral Home, with Rev. Herbert Schafale officiating. A private interment will be held at Valhalla Gardens of Memory, Belleville, IL.

Elva was such a joy, always smiling, with hugs that filled one with love. I always loved seeing her when I returned home, hearing the latest tales of dining and dancing. On behalf of Russell and his children, please accept our deepest sympathies for your tremendous loss. We share in your grief as we have also lost a dear friend, and a wonderful companion to our father.
