Frederick R. Hoeffken, 78, of Belleville, Illinois, born Wednesday, August 1, 1934, in Belleville, IL, died Tuesday, December 25, 2012 at St. Elizabeth's Hospital in Belleville, IL.
Fred worked as an Operating Engineer for Local 520 for over 50 years. He was a retired resident of Key West, Florida for 16 years where he was paid to fish. He was a member of Saint Augustine of Canterbury Belleville, Illinois and the St. Louis Admirals R/C Model Boat Club.
He was preceded in death by his:

- Parents: Elmer F. and Helen nee Hammond Hoeffken

Funeral: An 11:00 am Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Saint Augustine of Canterbury in Belleville, IL with Msgr. Bill McGhee officiating.

So sorry to read about Fred. All those years ago living next door on Michigan Ave. I thought he was such a fun and funny guy. It sounds like his Florida retirement was perfect for him.
