Jesse T. .Lewis

Jesse T. Lewis Jr., 82, of Belleville, IL, born Friday, November 2, 1928, in Randolph, Maine, died Friday, March 18, 2011 at Sycamore Village Assisted Living in Swansea, IL.

Mr. Lewis Jr. was a Korean War Veteran and was retired from the U. S. Air Force. After his retirement, he was an office machine repairman.

He was preceded in death by his:

• Wife: Shirley B. nee Pitts, Lewis
• Parents: Jesse T. and Nora nee Garey Lewis
• 2 brothers and 2 sisters

Surviving are his:

• Son: Stephen (Carolyn) Lewis of Belleville, IL
• Daughter: JoAnne (Stephen) Latta of Fairview Heights, IL
• Brother: Richard Lewis

Memorials: Memorials may be made to the Belleville Area Humane Society.

Visitation: Friends may call from 5-8 P.M., Monday, March 21 at Kurrus Funeral Home, Belleville, Illinois.

Funeral: Funeral services will be held at 10:15 A.M. Tuesday, March 22, 2011 at Kurrus Funeral Home with Rev. Allen Miller officiating. Interment will follow at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery, St. Louis, MO.
