Jack E. Hurst
Jack E. Hurst, 81, of Fairview Hgts., IL, born Tuesday, November 5, 1929, in Glenwood, Iowa, died Saturday, February 5, 2011 at St. Pauls Home in Belleville.
Mr. Hurst Retired as a Primary Meterman for AmerenIP. He was a member of American Legion Post, and a Life member Gold Wing Road Riders Association. Mr. Hurst was a United States Airforce Korean War Veteran.
He was preceded in death by his:
- Wife: Betty J. nee Evans Hurst
- Parents: Carl and Ona nee Alexander Hurst
- Brother: Carl Hurst
Surviving are:
- Son: Daniel E. Hurst of Fairview Hgts, IL
- Brothers
- Jerold Hurst of Glenwood, IA
- Ronald (Ruth) Hurst of Glenwood, IA
- Nieces and Nephews
Memorials: Memorials may be made to the St. Louis Zoo Association.
Visitation: Friends may call from 4-8 P.M., Tuesday, February 8 at the Kurrus Funeral Home, Belleville, Illinois.
Funeral: Funeral services will be held at 2:30 pm Wednesday, February 9, 2011 at Kurrus Funeral Home, with Rev. Shane Bishop officiating. Interment will follow at Lake View Memorial Gardens, Fairview Heights, IL.

Uncle Jack always seemed to have a smile on his face. He loved to ride his motorcycle. I remember when I was a small child he would give me a silver dollar when he came to visit. He was loved and will be greatly missed.

My memories of your dad are from more than half a century ago. I recall his wavy dark hair, his infectious chuckle and the sparkle in his eyes.
