Lula F. Patton, nee Martin , 90, of Maryville, IL, born Monday, October 10, 1921, in Metropolis, IL, died Monday, January 23, 2012 at St. Paul's Home in Belleville, IL.
Lula worked as a nurse for Christian Welfare Hospital in East St. Louis, IL. and was a member of First Baptist Church of Maryville, Il. She also was a United States Army World War II veteran.
She was preceded in death by her:

- Sister: Mabel (Babe) Collins

Visitation: Friends may call from 9-10:15 am Wednesday, January 25, 2012 at Kurrus Funeral Home in Belleville, Illinois.
Funeral: Funeral services will be held at 10:15 am Wednesday, January 25, 2012 at Kurrus Funeral Home, with Rev. John Harris officiating. Interment will follow at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery, St. Louis, Missouri.

My deepest condolences for the loss of your Mother. Whenever we go to Mom and Dad's we stop by and knock on their door to see if they need anything. Had been worried lately and I found your Mother's obituary this afternoon. We wish we had known and would have paid our respects. We couldn't have had more generous, caring and thoughtful neighbors and I really cherish so many good memories of our times with all of you and the thoughtfulness of your parents as our aged and became ill.
