Ruby V. Kollmeyer

Ruby V. Kollmeyer, 85, of Fairview Heights, Illinois, born Thursday, February 17, 1927, in East St. Louis, IL, died Sunday, November 18, 2012 at her residence.

Ruby worked for Union Electric for over forty years and was a United States Marine Corps veteran.  Ruby was a loyal Chicago Cubs fan.  She enjoyed current and political events and was also known for participating in a good debate.  Ruby was well read. She was a lover of all animals, wildlifeand pets, especially her cat, treasure.

She was preceded in death by her:

Memorials: In lieu of flowers the family request that memorials be made to the Humane Society

Visitation:  Friends may call from 10:00 am - 11:00 am Saturday, November 24, 2012 at Kurrus Funeral Home in Belleville, IL

Funeral:  Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am Saturday, November 24, 2012 at Kurrus Funeral Home, with Rev. Jonathan Winterfeldt officiating.  Interment will follow at Valhalla Gardens of Memory Mausoleum, Belleville, Illinois.
