Gladys A. Kelley, nee Needham, 75, of Belleville, IL, born Monday, January 7, 1935, in Parma, Mo, died Friday, May 28, 2010 at Memorial Hospital in Belleville.

Mrs. Kelley worked as a Recess Supervisor for Ellis School. She was a member of Winstanley Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death:

  • Father: Malcom L. Needham
  • Mother: Anna Blanche, nee Johnson
  • Step-Mother: Louise Needham
  • Brother: Malcom "Sonny" Needham
  • Twin sons at Infancy

Surviving are her:

  • Husband: Richard H. Kelley Sr.
  • Daughter: Patricia Kelley of Litchfield, IL
  • Son: Richard Kelley of Belleville, IL

    • Dorothy (Joseph) Baldwin of Sikeston, MO
  • Grandchildren

Memorials: Memorials may be made to Shriners Hospital for Children.

Visitation: Friends may call from 4 to 8 P.M., Tuesday, June 1, 2010 at Kurrus Funeral Home, Belleville, Illinois.

Funeral: Funeral services will be held at 10:15am on Wednesday, June 2, 2010 at Kurrus Funeral Home, with Dr. Steve Phillips officiating. Interment will follow at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery, St. Louis, MO.

    Dear Richard, Tricia, and Richie,

    We were shocked and saddened to hear of Glady's sudden passing. She and I just connected again after all these years. It was so wonderful to see her again and get to talk about our grandchildren and what has been happening in our lives since we lived across the street from each other. Our grandson, Michael, is a student at Ellis and absolutely loved your Mother as did all the other children. Our sympathy is with all of you at this sad time.
