John Michael Wilkins



John Michael Wilkins, 62, of East St. Louis, Illinois, born Monday, May 9, 1949, in Mobile, AL, died Wednesday, August 10, 2011 at Memorial Hospital in Belleville, Illinois.

Mr. Wilkins worked as a Welder. He was a member of V.F.W. #8677 of Fairview Heights, Elks Lodge #664 of Fairview Heights, Volunteer Fireman for French Village.  He was a U.S. Marine Vietnam Veteran.

He was preceded in death by his:

  • Grandmother: Mattie Wood

Visitation:  Friends may call from 4:00 pm - 8:00 pm Thursday, August 11, 2011 at Kurrus Funeral Home in Belleville, Illinois.

Funeral:  Funeral procession will leave Kurrus at 10:45 am for a service and honors at 11:30 am Friday, August 12, 2011at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery, Interment will follow at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery.
