Robert L. Ray, Jr.

Robert L. Ray, Jr., 79, of Belleville, IL, born Monday, December 29, 1930, in St. Louis, MO, died Saturday, July 10, 2010 in Barnes-Jewish Hospital in St. Louis, MO.

Mr. Ray, Jr. was a retired teacher for Torrance Unified School in Torrance, CA for 0ver 30 years. He received his masters in Education and School Asministration.Prior to teaching he was a St. Louis policeman. He was a member of the Class of 1950 McBride Graduates Luncheon Group and a U.S. Marine Corp Korean War veteran and the Air Force Reserves.

He was preceded in death by his:

  • Parents: Robert and Agnes nee Hanlon Ray, Sr.

Surviving are his:

  • Wife: Jacqueline nee Wilson Ray

    • Laura (Dek Lee) Ray of Boston, MA

    • Numerous Nieces and Nephews

Memorials: Memorials may be made to the American Parkinson Disease.

Visitation: Friends may call from 10-12 pm at the Kurrus Funeral Home in Belleville, IL.

Funeral: Funeral services will be held at 12:00 noon on July 16, 2010 at Kurrus Funeral Home in Belleville, IL. Interment will follow at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery in St. Louis, MO.
