Lillian H. Hale

Lillian H. Hale, nee Stenzel, 99, of Flagstaff, AZ, formerly of Belleville, IL born Saturday, August 12, 1911, in E. St. Louis, IL, died Tuesday, November 16, 2010 in Flagstaff, AZ.

Mrs. Hale was a member of Signal Hill Lutheran Church and the Quilters Club at the church. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and aunt. Due to declining health, she moved to Flagstaff, Arizona in March 2009 to be near her family. She loved to read, make quilts, play cards and correspond and chat with family and friends. The emptiness of her passing will be filled with fond and cherished memories.

She was preceded in death by her:

Memorials: Memorials may be made to the Signal Hill Lutheran Church.

Visitation: Friends may call from 4-8 pm Monday November 22, 2010, at the Kurrus Funeral Home, Belleville, IL.

Funeral: Funeral services will be held at 10:00 am Tuesday November 23, 2010, at Kurrus Funeral Home, with Pastor Mark Wiesner officiating. Interment will follow at Valhalla Gardens of Memory, Belleville, IL.

    Mrs. Hale (Missy, as we called her) was the BEST neighbor anyone could have. I remember visiting her many times as a child and later with my own child. She always made us feel very special. I'm sure I speak for my siblings as well. We all loved Missy very much.
