Sidney Herr

Sidney Herr, 90, of Belleville, IL, born Friday, April 4, 1919 and left us on Friday, March 12, 2010 to join his wife Vera. They were married for 67 years.

Sid was a Navy veteran of WWII where he fought with the Pacific Fleet at the Naval Battles of Coral Sea, Midway, Iwo Jima, and Saipan. He retired form Exxon Mobile Company. He was a member of First United Presbyterian Church of Belleville, IL, East Lodge #504 AF & AM, Scottish Rite Bodies, Ainad Shrine, VFW Post 6632 and Royal order of the Moose in Swansea.

He is survived by his:

Memorials: Memorials may be made to the First United Presbyterian Church or Hospice of Southern Illinois.

Funeral: Memorial service will be held at 7:00pm Tuesday, March 16, 2010 at First United Presbyterian Church Santuary, 1303 Royal Heights Rd. Belleville, IL, with Rev. Alex Hendrickson officiating.
