Geneva B. Holbrook

 

Geneva B. Holbrook, nee Aldredge, 88, of Belleville, IL, born Tuesday, August 22, 1922, in Pittsburg, KS, died Monday, June 13, 2011 at Memorial Hospital in Belleville, IL.

Mrs. Holbrook worked as a bookkeeper for Model Laundry for 22 years.

 

She was preceded in death by her:

  • Mother: Besse M. nee Martin Crowley
  • Step-Father: William Crowley
  • Step-Brothers

  • Son: Thomas A. (Molly McKenzie) Holbrook of Belleville, IL
  • Daughter: Marilyn L. Brothers of West Valley City, UT
  • Step-Brother: Billy Crowley of Washington, MO

  • Great Grandchildren: Shaily and Jesse Lee

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Treehouse Wildlife Center or the donors choice 

Visitation: Friends may call from 4:00 pm - 8:00 pm Tuesday, June 14, 2011 at Kurrus Funeral Home in Belleville, Illinois

Funeral: Funeral services will be held at 10:30 am Wednesday, June 15, 2011 at Kurrus Funeral Home, with Rev. Larry Patton officiating There will be a private family interment at Lake View Memorial Gardens, Fairview Heights, IL.

    I'm sorry that I was not there for mom's passing and services. She always treated me with respect and love and I truly loved her too. I will never forget the birthday cards she use to send me every year. She was the best grandma Mike, Susan and Doug could have ask for, she truly loved all of them. We can all take comfort in knowing that she is in a better place now. My thoughts, prayers and love are with you all.
