Gloria R. Jarrett

Gloria R. Jarrett, nee Touchette, passed on to glory on Saturday December 3, 2011. Gloria was born in St. Clair Co. , IL on Wednesday, August 15, 1928. She later lived in Smithton and Fairview Heights, IL.

Gloria was the owner of Enchanted Cottage Beauty Salon in Fairview Heights, IL and worked as a beautician for Kurrus Funeral Home for 32 years. She was a dedicated wife, mother and grandmother and assisted her husband throughout his ministries at Black Lane Gardens Baptist Church, Delmonte Baptist Church, First Baptist Church of Smithton and Faith Baptist Church of Marissa.  

She was preceded in death by her:

• Husband of 67 years: Rev. Ben W. Jarrett Sr., who passed away on November 1, 2011
• Parents: Daniel and Josie nee Goodwin, Touchette

• Sister: Darlene Reichel

Memorials: Memorials may be made to the Saint Paul's United Church of Christ Food Pantry in Freeburg, IL.

Visitation:  Friends may call from 4:00 pm - 8:00 pm Wednesday, December 7, 2011 at Kurrus Funeral Home in Belleville.

Funeral:  Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am Thursday, December 8, 2011 at Kurrus Funeral Home with  Rev. Earl Crecelius officiating.   Interment will follow at Lake View Memorial Gardens, Fairview Heights, Illinois.
