Charles E. Davis, 78, of Belleville, IL, born Wednesday, April 12, 1933, in Mill Creek, IL, died Sunday, September 25, 2011 at  Memorial Hospital, Belleville, IL

Davis worked as a switchman for Alton and Southern Railroad. He was a member of USA  Army during the Korean War.  He was a member of United Transportation Union. 

He was preceded in death by his:

• Parents: Charlie L. and Pearl nee Walters Davis 
• Sister: Lila Bell (Al) Brusasco
• Niece:  Patricia Logerwell

Visitation:  Friends may call from 4:00 pm - 8:00 pm Tuesday, September 27, 2011 at Kurrus Funeral Home in Belleville, Illinois

Funeral:  Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am Wednesday, September 28, 2011 at Kurrus Funeral Home, with Pastor Mark Wiesner officiating.  Interment will follow at Valhalla Gardens of Memory, Belleville, IL
