Leonard D. Moore

Leonard D. Moore, 87, of Shorewood, IL, formerly of Fairview Hgts., IL. born Friday, March 23, 1923, in Willisville, IL, died Friday, November 26, 2010 at Weiss Hospice Hospital in Chicago, IL.

Mr. Moore worked as an executive with Amstead Industries, was a member of the Belleville Elks and Belleville Moose Clubs, and a member of the Fairview Heights City Development Council and Lighting District. He was devoted to the improvement of education in Illinois, serving as a member, and Past President of District 201 Belleville School Board. He worked tirelessly in the District and in Washington to bring additional educational resources to our State.

He was preceded in death by his:

  • Brother: Roy Moore

Visitation: Friends may call from 4-8pm on Thursday, December 2, 2010 at the Kurrus Funeral Home, Belleville, Illinois.

Funeral: Funeral services will be held at 11am on friday, December 3, 2010 at Kurrus Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Valhalla Gardens of Memory, Belleville, IL.
