Joseph R. Curtis Sr., 78, of Belleville, IL, born Thursday, June 18, 1931, in Methuen, Massachusetts, died Monday, January 4, 2010 at Memorial Hospital in Belleville, IL.

Mr. Curtis Sr. was a retired painter for Local #85. He was a former member of St. Augustine of Canterbury in Belleville, IL, Senior Vice Commander of D.A.V., a volunteer for Northwest Fire Department and a U.S. Navy and Airforce Korean War veteran.

He was preceded in death by his

Funeral: Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am Thursday, January 7, 2010 at Kurrus Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow at Lake View Memorial Gardens in Fairview Heights, IL.
