Ronald "Ron" J. Christensen


Ronald J.  Christensen, 71, of Belleville, IL, born Wednesday, October 23, 1940, in Moorhead, MN, died Sunday, November 27, 2011 at his residence.

Ronald was the owner of R & M Sales in Bethalto, IL. He was a member of St. Clare Catholic Church in O'Fallon Illinois, Granite City Eagles, Knights of Columbus, and Little Devils Football Club, Belleville, IL   

He was preceded in death by his:

  • Father: W. Ken Christensen
  • Mother: Virginia nee Wandro, Christensen
  • Aunt and Uncle whom helped raise him, Rita and Lee Wandro
  • Sisters:

    • JoAnn Niemann
  • Step Sister: Barb Zapp

Surviving are his:

  • Daughter: Linda Harris of O Fallon, IL
  • Son: Bob (Diane) Christensen of Parker, CO
  • Brother: Allen (Bonnie) Christensen of MN
  • Step mother: Vi Christensen

Visitation:  Friends may call from 4:00 pm - 8:00 pm Wednesday, November 30, 2011 at Kurrus Funeral Home in Belleville, IL

Funeral: Funeral procession will leave at 9:30am,Thursday, December 1, 2011 from the funeral home for a 10:00am Mass of Christian burial at St. Clare Catholic Church, O'Fallon, IL with Father Jim Wynne officiating.  Interment will follow at Mount Calvary Cemetery, Shiloh, IL.
