Morris B. Kennerly

Morris B. Kennerly, 90, of Belleville, Illinois, born Monday, May 15, 1922, in Bowling Green, KY, died Friday, May 25, 2012 at Memorial Hospital in Belleville, Illinois.

Morris worked as a tanker man for Phillips Petroleum and secretary of the union. He was a member of Winstanley Baptist Church Fairview Heights Illinois, Operating Engineer Union-Local #2 and he was a World War II Navy Veteran, serving 4 years.

He was preceded in death by his:

Surviving are his:

• Wife: Dolores E. Kennerly

  • Jeffrey M. Kennerly of Carbondale, IL
• Grandchildren, Laura, Michael, Clayton and Dalton
• Great Grandchildren.

Visitation:  Friends may call from 4:00 pm - 8:00 pm Tuesday, May 29, 2012 at Kurrus Funeral Home in Belleville, Illinois.

Funeral:  Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am Wednesday, May 30, 2012 at Kurrus Funeral Home Chapel, with Rev. Wendell Garrison and Dr. Steve Phillips officiating.  Interment will follow at Valhalla Gardens of Memory Mausoleum, Belleville, Illinois.
