John K. Goretzke

John K. Goretzke, Jr., 54, of Belleville, Illinois, born Tuesday, March 26, 1957, in East St. Louis, IL, died Thursday, March 1, 2012 at St. Elizabeths Hospital in Belleville, IL

John worked in Security at Dillards. He was a member of Cornerstone Christian Church, the United States Judo Association,was a journeyman carpenter for local 433 of Belleville, a volunteer for the American Red Cross and was a U.S. Navy veteran.

He was preceded in death by his:

  • Maternal Grandparents: William and Esther Talbott
  • Paternal Grandparents: George and Loretta Goretzke.


Surviving are his:

  • Wife: Debra Goretzke of Belleville, IL
  • Parents: John K. and Beverly "Sue" nee Talbott Goretzke, Sr. of Belleville, IL

Visitation:  Friends may call from 3:00 pm - 7:00 pm Sunday, March 4, 2012 at Kurrus Funeral Home in Belleville, Illinois.

Funeral:  Funeral services will be held at 10:30 am Monday, March 5, 2012 at Kurrus Funeral Home, with Rick Hodshire officiating.  Interment will follow at Valhalla Gardens of Memory, Belleville, Illinois.
