Mary Ann White
, nee Kaucher, 84, of Swansea, IL, born Thursday, September 2, 1926, in East St. Louis, IL, died Friday, March 18, 2011 at her residence.

Mrs. White was a retired teacher for District 175. She was a member of St. Matthew United Methodist Church in Belleville,IL, New Life Club, Retired Teachers Association and the Wednesday Breakfast Club.

She was preceded in death by her:

  • Parents: Vincent and Mabel nee Gilliland Kaucher
  • Brother: Robert Kaucher

She was a wonderful loving person who had the ability to make you feel special in so many ways.

Memorials: Memorials may be made to the Christian HomeCare Services of Lebanon, IL or Hospice of Southern Illinois.

Visitation: Friends may call from 4-8 p.m.Tuesday, March 22, 2011 at Kurrus Funeral Home in Belleville, Illinois.

Funeral: Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, March 23, 2011 at Kurrus Funeral Home, with Rev. Larry Patton officiating. Interment will follow at Mount Hope Cemetery, Belleville, IL.

    Mary Ann was my Aunt and Second Mother. I loved her dearly and am grateful to have been a part of her life. She will be missed by her family, friends, ministers, church members, neighbors, caretakers co-workers, former students, and me. Mary Ann lived a true Christian life and was a shining example for all. My condolences to all who knew her.
