Earl "Bucky" G. Gruber

Earl "Bucky" G. Gruber, 72, of Collinsville, Illinois, born Tuesday, May 7, 1940, in Willisville, IL, died Tuesday, May 15, 2012 at Mercy Hospital  in St. Louis, Missouri.

He was a member of  East Lodge #504 AF & AM, Scottish Rite Bodies.  He was a lifetime member of Ainad Shrine "Patrol".    Bucky was a charter member of Our Lord's Luthern Church in Maryville, IL.  He was a member of Local 520 of the Operating Engineers, seniority #2, also having served in the Union Hall as the Business Manager.  Bucky was an avid hunter and fisherman and enjoyed the Ft. Meyers, Florida greyhound track.  He enjoyed geneology and was a member of the Sons of the American Revolution.  He was a die-hard Democrat.

He was preceded in death by his:

  • Brother: Donald R. Gruber
  • Sister: Patsy Grenard
  • Nephew: Scott Bossetto

He is survived by his:

  • Beloved wife: Julie nee Bossetto Gruber whom he married on September 9, 1961 at Trinity Lutheran Church, East St. Louis, IL

Visitation:  Friends may call from 4:00 pm - 8:00 pm, Friday, May, 18, 2012 with a Masonic Service at 7:00 pm at Kurrus Funeral Home in Belleville, IL and from 9:30 am - 10:30 am Saturday, May 19, 2012 at Kurrus Funeral Home.

Funeral: Funeral services will be held at 10:30 am at the Kurrus Funeral Home, with the Rev. Dr. John D. Lottes officiating.  Interment will follow at Lakeview Memorial Gardens in Fairview Heights, Illinois.
