Mary C. Behnen

Mary C.  Behnen, nee Head, 95, of Belleville, IL, born Thursday, February 22, 1917, in Aurora, IL, died Wednesday, April 25, 2012 at St. Elizabeth's Hospital in Belleville, IL.

Mary worked as a legal secretary for Greensfielder, Hemker, Gale. She was a life time member of the Ladies Auxillary of the Elks Lodge, avid Cardinals fan, and bingo player.


She was preceded in death by her:

  • Parents: William and Isabelle nee Taylor, Head
  • Son: Richard L. Pepper

Visitation:  Friends may call from 4:00 pm - 8:00 pm Friday, April 27, 2012 with a 5:00pm prayer service at Kurrus Funeral Home in Belleville, IL.

Funeral:  Funeral procession will leave at 9:45am, Saturday, April 28, 2012 for a 10:00am mass of Christian burial at St. Henry's Catholic Church, Belleville, IL with Rev. Kenneth York officiating.  Interment will follow at Mount Carmel Cemetery, Belleville, IL.
