Cleone L. Morris

Cleone L. Morris, nee Miles, 76, was called home on Wednesday, June 27, 2012 at  her residence in Freeburg, IL. She was born Saturday, February 1, 1936, to David and Martha nee McDougall Miles in Frontier County, Nebraska. She was United in marriage to Bobby D. Morris on March 1, 1953 in Wimmemucca, Nevada. They were married for 59 blissful years.  

Cleone received her degree at Southern Illinois University. She worked as a Federal Investigator for the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission in St. Louis, MO. She was a member of Westview Baptist Church Swansea Illinois.  

She was preceded in death by her:

  • Son: Christopher A. Morris in 1987
  • Her parents

Surviving are her:

  • Husband: Bobby D. Morris of Freeburg, IL
  • Children:
    • Cheryl (Rob) Cardona of Freeburg, IL             
    • Stephen (Linda) Morris of Freeburg, IL             
    • Tracy (Carl) Andres of Belleville, IL
  • 15 Loving Grandchildren
  • 12 Great Grandchildren
  • Sisters:
    • Doneta (Phil) Baca of Mayer, AZ           
    • Alice (Gary) White of Boca Raton, FL

Cleone also leaves behind all her brothers and sisters in Christ at Westview Baptist Church.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Westview Baptist Church Building Fund.

Visitation:  Friends may call from 3:00 pm - 6:00 pm Sunday, July 1, 2012 at Kurrus Funeral Home in Belleville, Illinois and from 9:30 am - 10:30 am Monday, July 2, 2012 at Westview Baptist Church in Swansea, Illinois.

Funeral:  Funeral services will be held at 10:30 am Monday, July 2, 2012 at Westview Baptist Church, with Rev. Greg Sutter officiating  Interment will follow at St. Paul's Cemetery, Freeburg, Illinois.
