Bertha E. Basola, nee Althardt, 89, of Belleville, Illinois, born Friday, February 4, 1921, in Collinsville Illinois, died Sunday, October 3, 2010 at Alton Memorial Hospital in Alton.

Mrs. Basola was a retired Beautician and worked at St. Louis Union Trust Company - Treasury Department. She was a member of Peace Lutheran Church of Belleville, Ladies Auxillary of John Fritz Chapter Railroad Club of Fairview Hgts., IL, Senior Citizen of Belleville and Fairview Hgts., A.A.R.P.

She was preceded in death by her:

Visitation: Friends may call from 11am -1pm on Tuesday, October 5, 2010 at the Kurrus Funeral Home, Belleville, Illinois.

Funeral: Funeral services will be held at 1:00pm on Tuesday, October 5, 2010 at Kurrus Funeral Home, with Rev. Bill Pierce officiating. Interment will follow at Holy Cross Lutheran Cemetery, Collinsville, IL.
