John Robert " Bob" Dosier PhD
John Robert "Bob" Dosier, PhD, 77, of Belleville, IL, born Wednesday, December 13, 1933, in Grayville, IL, died Sunday, November 27, 2011 at his residence in Belleville, IL.. He married Donna Roper on July 6, 1958 in Posey, IL..
Bob was a loving husband, wonderful father and grandfather. He retired as Superintendent from Belleville Township High School District 201, where he also worked as Assistant Superintendent, Assistant Principal and Counselor. Before coming to Belleville, he taught and coached in Columbia, IL.. After retiring from education, Bob worked as a Contract Manager for Healthlink. He was an active member of St. Matthew United Methodist Church. For over 30 years, he served on the McKendree University Board of Trustees. Bob served on the Boards for Hospice of Southern Illinois, the United Methodist Children's Home, as well as several other organizations. He was active in many community and civic organizations. Bob was appointed to serve on many state educational committees and commissions. He was a veteran of the United States Army.
He was preceded in death by his:

Memorials: Memorials may be made to the McKendree University, St. Matthew United Methodist Church, Hospice of Southern Illinois, Belleville District 201 Scholarship fund and American Cancer Society (Coaches vs Cancer).
Visitation: Friends may call from 3:00 pm - 8:00 pm Tuesday, November 29, 2011 at St. Matthew United Methodist Church, 1200 Moreland Drive in Belleville, IL. and from 9:00 - 11:00 am Wednesday, November 30, 2011 at St. Matthew United Methodist Church in Belleville, IL..
Funeral: Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am Wednesday, November 30, 2011 at St. Matthew United Methodist Church, with Rev. James Slone, Rev. Larry Patton and Dr. James Dennis officiating. Interment will follow at Valhalla Gardens of Memory, Belleville, IL.
