Major General Robert E. Buechler, 91, of St. Louis, MO, died Wed., April 4, 2012 at Dammert Geriatric Center in Belleville, IL.

Robert was a retired Major General for United States Air Force, served in WWII and Korea and a member of Missouri Bar Association.

Services: There will be an interment at 10:30 am Mon., May 7, 2012 at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery, St. Louis, MO and friends may call from 12 noon to 1:00 pm on Mon., May 7, 2012 at Shrine of Our Lady of the Snows, Apartment Community Chapel 9500 Illinois Route 15, Belleville, IL with Memorial Service at 1:00 pm with Rev. Richard Brendel officiating.

    I knew Bob during my 13 years with the 131 Tac Ftr Wing MO ANG.He would play the guitar at our State Conventions and was very good at it. He played in a band at Wash U with my friend Dick Hartig on trumpet.
