Violet B. McCormick
Violet B. McCormick, nee Tharp, 89, of Caseyville, IL, born Thursday, August 11, 1921, in Dexter, MO, died Sunday, January 9, 2011 at Bethesda Dilworth Nursing Home in St. Louis.
Mrs. McCormick worked as a Retail Clerk for Sav - Mart Department Store. She was a member of St. John UCC in Collinsville, Ladies Auxiliary V.F.W. in Caseyville, Caseyville Fire Department Auxiliary and Friedens UCC Women's Guild. She was a Girl Scout Leader for many years and co-founder of Caseyville Library. She was a lifelong ballroom and square dancer and was active at the Senior Center in Fairview Heights.
She was preceded in death by her:

Memorials: Memorials may be made to the American Diabetes Association or American Heart Association.
Visitation: Friends may call from 4-8pm, Wednesday, January 12, 2011 at the Kurrus Funeral Home, Belleville, IL.
Funeral: Funeral services will be held at 10:30 am Thursday, January 13, 2011 at Kurrus Funeral Home, with Rev. Tony Minear officiating. Interment will follow at Lake View Memorial Gardens, Fairview Heights, IL.
