Stephen R. Burke

Stephen R. Burke, 67, of Belleville, Illinois, born Tuesday, August 7, 1945, in Mount Vernon, IL, died Wednesday, November 14, 2012 at Memorial Hospital in Belleville, Illinois.

Steve was the owner of St. Clair Electrical Wholesale Supply in Swansea, IL for over 40 years. He was a member of Union United Methodist Church in Belleville Illinois, NRA and Disabled American Veterans. He was a U.S. Navy veteran and served in the Vietnam War on the USS Brush Destroyer and River Patrol Boats.

He was preceded in death by his:

Surviving are his:

  • Wife of 41 years: Dianne nee Burton Burke of Belleville, IL
  • Mother: JoAnn nee Carlton Zinkgraf of O'Fallon, IL
  • Son: Aaron (Carrie) Burke of Millstadt, IL
  • Daughter: Stephanie (Ed) Emge of Millstadt, IL
  • Grandchildren:

    • Noah Emge
    • Grace Emge
    • Jonah Emge

In lieu of flowers the family has requested memorials may be made to the Shriners Hospital for Children

Funeral:  Private family services will be held at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery in St. Louis, Missouri.
